GROUPS IN THE GALCK COALITION

The following are the groups within Galck and their contact details

Gay Kenya is a founder member of the GAY AND LESBIAN COALITION OF KENYA - GALCK.   Galck provides office facilities and basic infrastructure to all the member organizations within the coalition. The other Galck members include:

1. Minority Women in Action - MWA, whose website is - www.minoritywomen.org This is a Lesbian, Transgender (Female - Male) and Bisexual women group. It is the only group in Galck whose membership is limited to females in the movement.

2. ISHTAR MSM - whose website is - www.ishtarmsm.org. This group caters for the MSM sexual health and social well being. They are very involved in HIV and STI prevention and management.

3. TOMIK - by its nature Tomik likes to be discreet, which also means there is not much to say about them..

4. Trangender Education and Advocacy - TEA, whose website is www.transgenderkenya.org. This group caters for Transgender people but also Intersex people in Kenya. It is a very vibrant group.

5. There are other groups which are currently interested in joining Galck including, Solcodi from Kisumu Kenya, PEMA in Mombasa and AFRA in Nairobi. Their membership will be considered soon.
