Diversity Training in a Kenyan Context
After the 2007 Post-election Violence, many in Kenya were shocked at how fragmented we are as a society. For us at Gay Kenya, it came as no surprise. We continue to challenge social stereotypes every day. Perhaps because of that reason, we have a heightened awareness of other forms of negative stereotyping including Tribal, Religious and gender.
This course aims at providing an opportunity to Kenyans to examine the existential social, cultural, political, religious and sexual diversities as well as providing tools through which we can embrace and celebrate these diversities. Being a sexual minority, we are more aware and sensitive than most of how even implied stereotyping can impact on positive work and business environment.
Any organization or business that hopes to serve people in a diversity-comptetent environment, should seriously consider taking its staff, through this interactive training/workshop - Duration 2.30 Hrs.
